is something one might do
always expecting God to show
His goodness shining through

there’s nothing wrong with having hope
it’s good to think that way
but better still is the present
seeing God in today

His blessings shown in various ways
brings joy into one’s heart
rejoicing over little things
perspective has a part

when looking through spiritual eyes
one sees a bright new day
full of wonderful enjoyment
thankful in every way

for there are abundant reasons
why life can be renewed
when one is thankful for his Lord
and love that’s shared by two

then life is a new experience
each day could be one’s last
not living into the future
not living in the past

but God intends for man to live
abundantly in Him
content in our circumstances
on Jesus we depend
